Safe, Trauma-Informed Support for Young People in Care
Providing bespoke mentoring, life skills development, and therapeutic interventions to build stability and resilience.
Care Providers & Residential Houses
Building Trust When It Matters
We understand the unique challenges faced by looked-after children and the professionals who support them. Placement stability is paramount, and traditional support structures aren't always enough to help a young person navigate significant trauma or complex Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Our team provides consistent, highly reliable 1-2-1 mentoring that focuses on building genuine, trusting relationships. We create a safe space for young people to express themselves, self-regulate, and develop the life skills they need to transition successfully into adulthood.
How We Support Care Providers
Explore our range of services designed to help you move forward with confidence, wherever you're headed next.
-
Every young person in care has a unique background. We create highly bespoke support plans tailored to their specific emotional and developmental needs.
Trauma-Informed Practice: Our mentors are specifically trained to recognise and respond to the impact of trauma, ensuring all interactions promote psychological safety.
Positive Behavioural Support (PBS): We focus on understanding the root cause of challenging behaviours and proactively teaching positive coping mechanisms.
-
We help young people build the confidence to interact with the world around them safely and constructively.
Outreach: Guided visits to local public services, libraries, museums, and sports facilities.
Vocational Independence: Practical skill-building frameworks, including ASDAN and the AQA Unit Award Scheme, to prepare older youths for the world of work and independent living.
-
Sometimes, talking isn't the best way to communicate. We utilise a range of dynamic interventions to help young people engage at their own pace.
Animal & Pet Therapy: Featuring our resident Therapy Dog, Nelly, as well as farm visits. Animal therapy is proven to decrease anxiety, reduce feelings of fear, and provide powerful, non-verbal social support.
Creative Outlets: Tailored music, art, and sports interventions to help with emotional regulation.
-
For young people who experience severe anxiety, agoraphobia, or sensory overload when leaving their placement, our VR Classroom offers an incredible stepping stone. We provide fully immersive, controlled sensory environments—allowing them to experience the outside world, practice social scenarios, and engage in educational "virtual trips" from a place where they feel completely safe.
“A mentor empowers a person to see a possible future and believe it can be obtained.”
